Pupils go the extra mile in aid of Sport Relief

Pupils from North Cambridge Academy will compete against each other in a bid to raise the most money for Sport Relief on Friday 21 March 2014.

Pupils at the academy will be competing against each other in their House groups – Attenborough, Churchill and Fitzwilliam – to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief by completing the Sport Relief Mile.

Pupils discover whether there could be life on Mars

Intrigued young scientists set about discovering whether there really could be life on Mars as part of a special science and engineering day at North Cambridge Academy.

The lucky children from Shirley Community Primary School spent the day working on experiments at the new academy to find out whether life is possible on the red planet.

Mentoring scheme will help pupils get on the right career path

A new mentoring scheme will aim to support North Cambridge Academy pupils as they prepare for the transition from education to employment.

Nine mentors from timber and builders’ merchant company Ridgeons will be working closely with 18 Year 10 pupils from the Academy in a project which will run until June 2014.
