DfE encourages Stamford Queen Eleanor and CMAT to join forces

The Department for Education (DfE) has suggested that secondary education in Stamford would benefit from Stamford Queen Eleanor School (SQES) joining the highly successful Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT).

The School’s existing sponsor, CfBT, CMAT and the Governors of SQES have already started to explore how such a partnership could be expedited to deliver the best possible outcome for the school and its students.

World Cup flair comes to Peterborough

Students from Peterborough’s Nene Park Academy (NPA) can now emulate the silky skills on show during the World Cup in Brazil thanks to a new partnership with Peterborough United Football Club.

The school, which is also home to Peterborough United’s training ground, now offers sixth formers the opportunity to join its Futsal Scholarship course.

Future shines bright as West Town celebrates becoming an academy

West Town Primary School was given the green light for a new era by the Department for Education to join the Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) and opened as West Town Primary Academy on Monday 2nd June 2014.

The Secretary of State for Education, The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, formally approved the closure of West Town Primary School and the opening of West Town Primary Academy, as part of CMAT on the same site during the half term break.
