    Suzanne Cooper MBA, FNASBM

    Trust Governance and Compliance Manager

    Suzanne’s career has been in Finance, HR and Leadership and for the past 22 years she has been working in the education sector, both private and state.  For 17 years she was the School Business Manager at Stamford Welland Academy and was a member of the Senior Leadership Team.  In June 2016 she retired from the post and was appointed to the part time post of Governance and Compliance Manager for the trust.

    Jonathan Emery

    IT Customer Service Manager

    Jonathan is responsible for the Customer experience within IT across CMAT. His team ensures the smooth running of IT within these schools.

    Working within IT for over 10 years, starting out in the Food sector and then moving into the world of Luxury Yachts, Jonathan spent 7 years working in private education before joining CMAT.

    Alwyn Owen

    Trust Network Manager

    Alwyn has been working at Swavesey Village College since 2007 and at the Trust since its inception.  Rising up through the ranks, he now works as an IT Manager within the Trust.

    Working in the IT industry for over 15 years, previously heading the Configurations department of the region’s largest computer reseller where he was responsible for the configuration of servers and workstations prior to delivery to clients as well as making bespoke applications to ensure consistency was maintained.

    Michael Horspole

    Trust Management Accountant

    Michael has spent the last 17 years in senior finance roles in the charity sector. Initially as Regional Finance Manager for the British Red Cross Society covering the Eastern Region, then as Finance Director for Family Service Units (now part of FWA) and recently moved from YoungMinds a young person’s mental health charity.

    Sue Turnbull

    HR Manager

    Sue joined the Trust in 2014, bringing with her 20 years of HR experience.  Sue’s career has spanned Civil Service and Local Government; holding a variety of positions including Senior HR Management and Strategic Business Partnering.

    Whist providing HR services to the Assistant Director of Education for a local authority, Sue felt inspired to pursue a career in Education, leading her to her current position within CMAT.

    Derick has been responsible for the Academy buildings, sites and services within the Trust since 2011, although he is no stranger to our Academies as he has worked and lived at Swavesey Village College as the Site Manager for many years.

    Claire Hagger ACA PhD BSc

    Trust Audit and Accounts

    Claire joined the Trust early in 2012 to assist with fulfilling additional financial requirements the schools have since gaining academy status.

    Her principal responsibility is the independent checking of financial controls, systems and transactions across the Trust and its family of schools.
