Stamford Welland Academy outperforms other local schools

Ely College set to join CMAT in July 2016

entrader Ely College is set to join Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) following negotiations with DfE, the school’s current sponsor, CfBT Schools Trust (CST), and CMAT. The transfer of sponsorship is intended to take place this summer.

Stamford Welland Academy celebrates impressive increase in student progress

Leadership is transformed at Sawtry Village Academy

Sawtry Village Academy has now moved out of special measures after the latest inspection by the education standards organisation.

The school was graded as still requiring improvement by Ofsted, but it rated the effectiveness of leadership and management as good and personal development, behaviour and welfare were also good.

New academy and principal unveiled for Stamford

Stamford Welland Academy will replace the Stamford Queen Eleanor School as it joins Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT), and partners with one of the top performing schools in Cambridgeshire.

The new name and brand was developed in partnership with students and teachers, governors, the Free School proposer group, and the academy’s new leadership team.
