Jacki Parris

Jacki has been a member of Swavesey Village College and subsequently CMAT for 31 years. She has 35 years of teaching tutoring and Leadership experience behind her.

She was until recently local Lead for Cambridge and Peterborough,Cambridge Teaching School Network Lead for School-to-School Support and SLE Deployment

She has been Deputy Principal for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and recently Safeguarding Lead.

Jacki has specialised in the professional development of staff for over 20 years.  She has been responsible for establishing rigorous processes for recruitment, induction, whole school self-evaluation, safeguarding, CPD, staff absence management and performance management at Swavesey and within the Trust.[CMAT]

She believes that all staff (both teaching and non-teaching) should have the opportunity to develop their skills, career and potential.  At Swavesey this is delivered through meticulously planned coaching and mentoring sessions and by regular attendance at inspiring benchmarking visits.

Jacki has regularly delivers high quality training for staff from other schools including NQTs, Cover Supervisors, NPQSL and middle leaders.  Over recent years she has used her expertise and experience to successfully support several RI and LA/HMI referred schools across the East. She has recently presented at the ‘Aspiring Heads’ Conference and takes workshops at various SSAT, Leading Edge and Teaching School events.

She was Chair of the Joint Teaching Schools S2S Strategy Group which facilitates support across the region and was a key member of the CTSN CPD Strategy group and the Joint TSA CPD Group looking at needs analysis and delivery of CPD across the region
